It's not just humans who get a bit too excited about the Royals.

The Princess Royal paid a visit to Worcester this morning, with hundreds lining the streets to catch a glimpse of the woman once third in line to the throne.

There were also plenty of pups in attendance, some of whom were a bit too eager for her arrival.

The sound of barking almost drowned out the sound of the brass band, who were playing Toto's Africa.

Later on, the band played hits such as Mamma Mia by Abba and Paradise by Coldplay, which luckily weren't interrupted by any passionate pooches.

Princess Anne was in Norton this morning as a patron of the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regimental Association.

She was there to dedicate The Sentry, a memorial sculpture, which stands at almost two metres high, installed near the old Barracks by the association.

Her visit was scheduled for last year but had been postponed after the death of her mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The Princess arrived at Crookbarrow Road at around 10.50am on Tuesday, April 4 and stayed for around an hour.

Soldiers and veterans from the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment were at the event, including the ceremonial regimental ram.
