Crookbarrow Road, Norton, Worcester will be closed tomorrow from 9.30am until 2pm for a statue unveiling, Worcestershire County Council Highways has said. Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, will be inspecting the statue and unveiling some new plaques at 10.30am after the visit was postponed from last year following Queen Elizabeth II's death. Princess Anne is the patron of the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regimental Association.
According to the Royal Diary she will dedicate the Norton Worcestershire Regiment Group Statue at Crookbarrow Road.

We reported last July how a bronze statue of a soldier was put in place to commemorate city soldiers who fought in two World Wars.
The statue in Norton, near Worcester, pays tribute to the men who served in the Worcestershire Regiment and the contributions they made in the First World War and Second World War.
‘The Sentry’ memorial sculpture, which stands at almost two metres high, was put in place near the old Barracks by the Worcestershire Regiment Project Group.
Princess Anne visited award-winning Green Lighting Limited at Great Western Business Park in Worcester in February.
