A BRIDGE in Worcestershire is set to close following flash flooding.
Eckington Bridge on Pershore Road will close today because of flooding.
Heavy rainfall yesterday (Friday) and early this morning has led to flash flooding in Worcestershire.
A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council said: "We are making arrangements to close Eckington Bridge due to flooding."
The county woke up to multiple road closures this morning.
What Worcestershire roads are closed due to flooding?
- New Street, Upton
- Mill Bank, Fladbury
- Brook Lane, Cropthorne
- Lockeridge Lane, Welland
- B4208 at Garrett's Bank, Welland
- Horton Lane, Droitwich
- Eckington Bridge
Some residents also had to be rescued from their cars after driving into pools of water.
In one incident, three people had to be taken to safety when they drove their grey Volkswagen into flood water on Horton Lane.
