POSSIBLY one of the oldest Westlife superfans has made it her birthday wish to see the boy band.

Enda Warner will be turning 101 this Saturday, and the only present she has dreamt about is seeing her idols on her birthday.

Mrs Warner said: "I have been a super fan as long as I have been going.

"If I saw them, I would be so excited.

"Mark is definitely my favourite."

To make her dreams come true, Woodland View care home has been trying to contact the group in every way they know possible.

In one case, a carer was banned from several Westlife Facebook groups because she was spamming them to see if they would visit Mrs Warner.

The home has also looked into tribute acts to make her birthday wish close to reality, but they were too expensive.

Carla Sidaway, Front House Manager, said: "I guarantee she is the oldest fan they have got.

"I think it would make her very excited - imagine seeing your idols and how that would make you feel.

"Even just a video message would be great."

Mrs Warner - better known as Noddy because she likes to nod off while watching TV - has been a resident at Woodland View care home for the past year.

She described herself as never having a bucket list but always wanting to live life to the fullest.

She said: "The secret to a long life is to keep fit and to do as you are told - behave yourself!"

Mrs Warner was born in 1922 in London and spent most of her childhood living underground because of the Blitz.

She was made to work on war machinery while her father and future husband, Charles, went to war.

She later had three daughters.

Many people in Droitwich have been writing cards to celebrate her milestone birthday, including a few local schools like Witton Middle School.

Carla Sidaway added: "We did this last year (getting the local community to send her cards) for her 100th birthday, and it brought her so much joy we wanted to do it again."

The Woodland View care home team will host a Westlife tea party for Mrs Warner to celebrate her turning 101.

Anyone looking to send Mrs Warner a card can post or deliver it to a care home.
