A WOMAN has died after being hit by a car in Warndon Villages.
The crash involved a pedestrian, a woman in her 50's, and a blue Seat Ibiza car on Berkeley Way on Saturday (March 18).
The injured woman was initially taken to hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.
However, she died yesterday at her home address.
PC Richard Fellows, operational policing unit, said: “This is a very sad update after her injuries initially appeared to not be life-threatening, our thoughts are very much with the family of the lady who has died.
"Our appeal now is for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information or dash-cam footage which may help with the investigation to call me on 101 extension 772 2068 or email me directly at: Richard.fellows@westmercia.police.uk."
West Midlands Ambulance Service said an ambulance an air ambulance critical car car attended the scene of the crash.
A spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of an RTC involving a car and pedestrian at the junction of Cotswold Way and Ebrington Drive at 9.21pm on Saturday 18th March.
"One ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was the pedestrian.
"Following treatment at the scene she was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessment."
We contacted Worcestershire Royal Hospital for a response but it said it was unable to issue a comment.
