The discovery of a cannabis farm in Worcester was the result of investigative work by several policing teams.

People passed information to the police which led to officers raiding a house and finding scores of plants underneath heat lamps.

Officers seized 230 cannabis plants in different stages of growth during the drugs raid in Mayfield Road, off Rainbow Hill, this morning (Thursday, March 23).

Police forced entry to the property at 9.30am today and arrested one person found inside.

They also found the electricity meter at the property had been bypassed.

“Officers from several Safer Neighbourhood teams working out of Warndon attended an address on Mayfield Road, Worcester, to conduct a search warrant,” a West Mercia Police spokesperson said.
