Funeral of Christine Gill held at St Peter's Church in Powick

Christine Gill, a paramedic with West Midlands Ambulance Service, died at the age of 54 on Friday, February 24.

The funeral was held today (Tuesday, March 21) at St Peter's Church in Powick, and was attended by family, friends and staff.

Christine Gill joined Hereford and Worcester Ambulance Service in 1989, initially as a controller before starting a career out on the road.

The ambulance service said: "She quickly gained a reputation as an excellent clinician."

Anthony Marsh, chief executive officer of West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “Christine was deeply passionate about her job and that rubbed off on everyone who was privileged enough to have had the chance to work with her. 

"She always put everything into whatever she did and was an inspiration to all of us as someone who always saw the best in people and situations. 

"Over the years hundreds of staff have looked up to her and her loss will be felt by so many."

The post on social media has already amassed dozens of comments from those who knew her offering their condolences to her family and staff.
