FRUSTRATED residents have described it as a 'motorway' due to the number of drivers coming into the area hoping to find free spaces in a private car park.
They claim drivers, who do not live in the area, have been pinching their spaces in a residential car park owned by Platform Housing in Wellington Close.
Drivers are coming into the area to park their cars before heading into the city centre or a nearby gym.
However, the car park is private with a sign which reads: "Private parking residents and visitors only."
But Platform Housing said there is not any formal enforcement in the carpark.
The problem has been ongoing for more than a decade and some residents have even been left with hefty fines for parking in restricted street areas because they can't find a parking space.
Ula Szusnan, who has lived in the area for 11 years, said: "The cars are so loud it feels like a motorway, we should have at least one space per house.

"Some cars come through with loud music and park in the car park late at night."
In total there are about a dozen spaces in the car park and the 45-year-old added: "The car park is for residents but people visiting the city centre or going to the gym use it as a free car park."
Monika Tereszko, who works night shifts as a healthcare assistant, said: "It is private parking and a lot of people go there and park their cars and then we don't have a space for our cars.

"We are very angry, when I work night shifts there is nowhere for me to park when I get home in the morning and it is very frustrating.
"The car park is full every day, in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
"Some neighbours have to park on the road and they get a ticket because it has one yellow line.
"It would be good if Platform put a barrier up.
"It's frustrating and we feel ignored, everybody is frustrated."
Clare Greensall, head of localities at Platform Housing Group said: "We are sorry to hear of our customers' concerns.
"There are signs in place stating the parking is for residents only but there isn't any formal enforcement in place.
"We are considering the option of engaging a parking enforcement company for car parks such as these."
