A BIRMINGHAM City fan who was jailed for punching footballer Jack Grealish has been found dead at the age of 32.
Paul Mitchell attacked the former Aston Villa player during a match at St Andrew’s Stadium in March 2019.
After pleading guilty to assault, Mitchell, who gave a Rubery address at Birmingham Magistrate's court, was sentenced to 14 weeks imprisonment.
He had jumped over the barriers and invaded the pitch as Aston Villa took on Birmingham City, attacking Grealish from behind ten minutes after kick-off.
He was released from jail just four weeks into his prison term.
Friends and family have paid tribute to Mitchell. His cousin Lucy Mitchell told the Sun that he “absolutely adored his three children”.
She said: "He always had a smile on his face no matter what. He had the kindest heart. He is sadly going to be missed by a lot of people”.
