TWO men were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a police chase involving marked and unmarked police cars.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing six police cars chasing a black BMW between Kempsey and Worcester.
One person who witnessed Monday's incident said the car nearly crashed into another near the Royal Oak pub in Broadwas.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said a 27-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were arrested and released on bail.
They said: “Yesterday afternoon, (Monday, March 13) a vehicle was stopped by the Carrington River Bridge after it had been pursued by police.
"Two men were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
"A 27-year-old man has been released on bail.
"A 19-year-old man was released with no further action.”

One eyewitness said the police using "stingers" to stop the car.
They said: "At about 5.22pm, I saw the car pursued by at least six police cars coming from Kempsey.
"Two sets of stingers were deployed by two different officers who had stationed themselves outside the Peugeot Garage, both of which hit the target.
"The car gave up pursuit after turning onto the new bypass, heading towards the St johns and Malvern direction."

Another eyewitness said the chase came from the A38 in Kinnersley and involved a near head on crash.
They said: "Yesterday afternoon at about 4.30pm, six police cars (two marked and four unmarked ) chased a black BMW which came from the A38 into Kinnersley.
"It swerved left around the Royal Oak pub and sped up towards Kerswell Green.
"They subsequently encountered a car driven by a customer coming towards the pub, narrowly avoiding a head on crash."
