THE robbery of a well-known craft centre the day before its fifth anniversary has featured on a BBC crime programme.
The Jinney Ring Craft Centre in Hanbury featured on Crimewatch after a staggering £35,000 worth of rare antique jewellery was stolen.
Around 68 items were taken from Galantique Antiques, which is based on the first floor of the craft centre.
Speaking on the show, which aired today (Tuesday) at 10am, PC Dave Hawkins said: "There is the obvious financial impact to replace the items.

"£35,000 is a significant amount to lose for a small independent business.
"But emotionally, it has had a massive impact.
"The Jinney Ring is an integral part of the community."
The craft centre on Hanbury Road was broken into around 1am on March 1, the day before its 5th anniversary of being open.

The victim of the burglary has offered a £1,000 reward for information that directly leads to the arrest and prosecution of the offenders or the recovery of all of the stolen items.
PC Hawkins added that the owner is fearful that what happened to him may happen to another retailer.
He said: "When the owners went to check, they noticed a glass cabinet on the desk had been smashed, and 68 items of antique and vintage jewellery were taken - along with several distinct items."

West Mercia Police is currently carrying out enquiries.
Some of the items stolen include:
- Austrian 14ct Yellow gold Poinsettia Flower brooch
- Austrian 14ct White gold Floriate brooch with 4 old cut diamonds
- Akoya Pearls with 9ct clasps
- Edwardian Yellow gold pendant necklace
A few of the stolen items were not owned by the Jinney Ring and were on display for sale on behlaf of clients.
