VISITORS have been banned from a unit at a city care home as a sickness bug affects residents.
A third of residents in Red Hill Care Home on London Road have been isolated because of diarrhoea and vomiting sickness.
Redhill Care Home has been turning away loved ones after a sickness bug began to circulate around one of their units.
The 90-bed home has closed off its Topaz Unit, which contains 30 beds, to visitors as a result.

A deep clean is scheduled for the care home over the weekend ahead of the re-opening of the unit on Monday.
A spokesperson for Redhill Care Home said: "In line with our standard procedures, one wing of the home was closed to visitors after some residents came down with a bug.
"A deep clean will occur over the weekend, and the home will reopen to visitors on Monday."
