A TAKEAWAY designed to transport its visitors to Greece has opened its doors in Droitwich.
Hungry foodies have been travelling far and wide to try Taverna on Queen Street - with one couple coming from Malvern to try the Greek food on offer.
It is thought to be the first-ever Greek street food takeaways in Droitwich which is sandwiched between Tony Hair Studio and All' Angelo.
We took a sneak peek into the new takeaway which opened its doors at the end of last month.
The interior is decorated with various pictures depicting different locations in Greece, olive trees and blue tiles.
There are also several high stools and small counters which visitors can eat their food from.
The walls are decorated with white panels of wood.
A selection of Greek food like jarred sausages and snacks like Caprice are also placed around the takeaway.
Taverna used to be a Bangladesh and Indian restaurant and takeaway called Aroma Spice.
However, Aroma Spice unexpectedly closed its doors in the summer of last year after only being open for a few months.
The Greek takeaway has been causing quite a stir with several people in the reviews visiting the diner before it was even open.
One person said: "Went to place an order in person this evening.
"Lights on, door locked, no food prepped in the background.
"What a shame."
Visitors have a selection of food from lunch, mains and desserts.
People can either order on the website or in store.
The business is open every day of the week between 12pm and 11pm.
This may change on bank holidays and special occasions.
