THE streets will be lined with thousands of people as Worcester Carnival is set to make its comeback this year.
Organisers of the popular charity event are urging performers and traders to apply and take part in the festivities set to take place on Saturday, July 1.
About 9,000 people visited the city centre in 2022 after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19 and the team is excited to announce preparation for this year's event has started.
Although organisers have not yet revealed this year's theme, the parade will be making its way through the streets and traders will be able to set up a stall or a pitch at Carnival Village on Pitchcroft racecourse.
Traders will be selling artisan food, drink, or crafts for visitors to enjoy.

A spokesperson from the Worcester Carnival team said: "For traders, there are amazing opportunities in our Carnival Village, this may be a stall or a pitch.

"Thousands of visitors' flock to Carnival Village on Pitchcroft racecourse. There will be the opportunity to trade throughout the day selling local artisan food, drink, and crafts or showcase the amazing work your charity or organisation does in our community."
The theme for this year has not yet been revealed, but last year's theme was 'celebration.'
Over 30 different groups took part last year and the crowd was wowed by dancers, street entertainers, and costumed characters.
An array of performances took place at The Guildhall last year.
Onlookers watched a street dance performance by Beak Breakerz which was followed by a King Charles impersonator.
Families and visitors also enjoyed a circus skills show, stilt walkers or a Punch and Judy show.
Throughout the day, carnival goers enjoy live performances, a children’s fair, a climbing wall, inflatables, food and craft stalls, and several sporting activities including the ever-popular football tournament.
People are also able to enjoy fairground rides, inflatables, market stalls with Worcestershire charities, crafts, food, and drink.
The event is funded through grants, fundraisers, and sponsorships and Worcestershire businesses also play a huge part in pulling the event together every year.
