CUSTOMERS will be given a free pint by a pub's new manager in an attempt to change its reputation.
The new manager at The Swan in Martin Hussingtree, near Worcester, hopes to attract people back to the pub and improve its rating.
Despite it being at a cost to the business, Kian Morgan is hoping to lure back old customers and welcome new people to the pub too.
Mr Morgan, age 23, said: "I want to get guests back in the business.
"It may not be cost effective for the business currently, but for our future I will offer them a free drink within reason, of course.

"We want to bring people back and engage with the pub, to make them want to return."
Mr Morgan said pubs get rated on a Reputation Scheme which scores them out of 1000 based on the reviews they receive online.
The pub scored 670 before he arrived in November and the score has recently risen to 742.
He aims to bring his several years of experience to raise the number higher and improve the pub's role in the community.

The Swan is currently rated 3.8 stars on Google reviews.
He added: "It is a beautiful pub, beautiful garden, clean and tidy.
"We are getting back there but the reviews were quite awful."
The pub is offering a list of new events which Mr Morgan hopes will engage everyone in the community.

It currently runs a dog of the month competition where owners who visit the pub with their dog get added to a prize draw.
They also are planning to run an Easter egg hunt and have special appearances from Too Hoots Bird Rescue - which is also the pub's chosen charity.
Negotiations are also underwas for soul singers to give regular performances at The Swan.
He said: "The standard has massively improved front and back.
"Dugilience has improved not just from guest perspectives but also from an employee perspective."
