Police officers were seen looking in bins and police dogs were sniffing along hedges as marked and unmarked police cars and vans filled the streets.
Other officers wearing white suits and face masks could also be seen going in and out of flats on the road while police tape was placed across a gate.
Police were going door-to-door along the streets asking people if they saw anything and if they have any CCTV which may help their investigation.
A couple sleeping in their living room for health reasons said they woke up to noises and “flashing lights everywhere”.
