THE MET office has revealed if South Worcestershire will be hit by snow in the next few days after reports the Beast from the East is set to hit other parts of the country.
Some parts of the UK could be covered in up to seven inches of snow due to a 'stratospheric polar vortex' which his also being dubbed as the second Beast from the East.
However, Grahame Madge, spokesperson for Met Office, said there is no prospect for a Beast from the East type weather to come to South Worcestershire in the next seven days.
Mr Madge said people should expect cooler weather conditions towards the end of February and at the start of March.
He said: “Within the next seven days – our current forecasting window – there is no prospect for a Beast from the East type weather set up.

"Conditions will turn cooler toward the end of the week and into the early part of next week, but these conditions are fuelled by home-grown cooler conditions and in fact the weather over the next week will be nothing unusual for the time of year: typical winter weather.

“With recent weather features over the Arctic and around the pole there could be a longer-term prospect of colder conditions affecting the UK at the end of February and into March. This is by no means certain.

"We are signalling the chance for colder conditions to occur after the next week, but at this lead time we cannot have sufficient confidence to state the chances of the event occurring or likely impacts any more definitively.”
The Beast from the East hit Worcestershire in 2018 and the country came to a standstill.
Pictures showed pedestrians and motorists braving the elements in Worcester City Centre, as The Beast from the East arrived to cause travel disruption across Worcestershire.
Cyclists also braved the heavy snow during the cold spat in 2018.
