HACKERS have taken over a small independent pub's Facebook account and may be attempting to extort money from the owners.
The Robin Hood in Rashwood, Droitwich, had its Facebook account hacked with scammers requesting the business click through a strange link for them to retrieve their account.
James Milner, manager at The Robin Hood, believes the hackers want money so the business could regain its Facebook page.
However, he says it is 'business as usual' at the independent pub.

Mr Milner said: "Someone had entered the account and changed our picture.
"It is still corrupted, so we had to shut it down.
"Unfortunately, it is scammers taking advantage of a small independent business.
"We want to get the word out that it is still business as usual."
It is the second time the pub's Facebook page has been hacked in a week.
In a Facebook post on February 17, a spokesperson for The Robin Hood wrote: "We unfortunately were a victim of cybercrime and had our page hacked.
"Thankfully, we now have it back and can start to post our news again to our lovely guests!"
Hackers have deleted many of the pub's most recent posts with only pictures from 2019 appearing on the account.
The scammers have also changed the business's name to "Your post violates community standards".
Just days later, the business was hit with another blow when it discovered the account was hacked again.
Pub staff were locked out of the account again yesterday (Monday).
They have taken the decision to now remove the old Facebook page and set up a new profile.

A spokesperson for the pub said: "We, unfortunately, were a victim of cybercrime and had our page hacked.
"We are sorry to say that we'll be removing this Facebook page but are delighted to announce our new page, which you can follow us on for updates and all things Robin Hood."
Mr Milner said that despite the hacking, the pub is extremely busy, and it is doing really well.
