A NEIGHBOUR from hell has now left her city home before she was evicted as residents breathe huge a sigh of relief.

The 37-year-old woman left before she was evicted from her home in Michael Tippet Drive in Worcester after causing persistent problems.

Issues reported included shouting, screaming and swearing in the street.

The problem tenant is now understood to be living in Powick and is receiving support to help her stop offending.

Last December a letter saying 'enough is enough' was circulated among her neighbours in Worcester telling them to call Citizen - her landlord - about any further problems.

A spokesperson for Citizen said: “We have served a section 21 notice on a customer living at Michael Tippet Drive following reports of anti-social behaviour.

"This notice expires on February 20, 2023, which means Citizen can regain possession of the property.

“This is the legal process all landlords must follow when looking to take back possession of their property and it can take several months.

“We are also working with the police to take all the action we are able to in order to stop our customer’s boyfriend from attending the property.”

One resident, who declined to be named, said: "It's a lot quieter now. It's a relief really as unfortunately I don't think it would have ended well had she stayed. I imagine for a number of residents it will be a massive relief and hopefully they will have a better quality of life with less noise and bother. And the police are no longer here on a regular basis."

A former neighbour of hers, who previously described the woman as 'the neighbour from hell', said she had heard she has moved to Powick and added: "Good luck Powick."

Inspector Tanya Beckett of West Mercia Police said: "Please may I commend my team for the work they have done both with her and the community.

"She has been served with a Community Protection Notice and is engaging with the police and other agencies.

"She is being supported in relation to her behaviour and is being helped in seeking alternative accommodation more appropriate for her own needs. The community have thanked my team for the positive action taken and for the ongoing reassurance and support they have offered in dealing with the ongoing issues and going forward we are confident that she will receive the help and support she needs to prevent further offending."
