ROADWORKS in London Road are causing long delays in both directions.
Queues of traffic are building in London Road, Worcester in both directions and at Waitrose because of temporary traffic lights and a lane closure.
The carriageway heading up London Road towards Spetchley is closed for the work with temporary traffic lights at the Waitrose junction to control the flow of traffic.
Cones have also been placed across the entrance to Waitrose and the pedestrian crossing on London Road and near the entrance to the supermarket itself are temporarily not in use.
Traffic was forming queues on Whittington Road in Worcester on the approach to the roadworks and also heading up London Road towards Spetchley.

An ambulance could be seen attempting to negotiate the traffic, heading down London Road towards the city centre.
Traffic lights (multi-way signals) by Cadent are in place until February 24.
The works are for utility repair and maintenance works.
