A WOMAN who made national headlines for whipping an officer in the face with her urine-soaked trousers has made a return to court to admit her latest police assaults.

Alanna Knight, originally from Florida, is facing a wait to learn what her punishment will be for kicking police officers.

The 21-year-old appeared before magistrates in Worcester on Thursday, (February 9).

Fatimer Yasmin, prosecuting, said police were called to her home in Pierpoint Street, Worcester, at 4am on Christmas Day.

The call was initially a concern for Knight's safety as she was threatening to jump from her balcony.

But officers trying to help her faced abusive language before backing off, leaving her home and heading into the street.

Miss Yasmin said Knight continued her concerning behaviour including shouting, which led to them arresting her.

The prosecutor said as police tried to get Knight into a police van PC Hopkins was kicked three times to his upper leg, causing him momentary pain.

In custody Knight continued to be "very abusive", and in her cell kicked out twice at PC Jenkins right leg.

Miss Yasmin said: "PC Falconer went into her cell and tried to calm the situation, and reason with the defendant.

"She cupped water (from the cell toilet) and threw it in the face of PC Falconer."

Miss Yasmin said Knight has 29 offences on her record including three assaults on emergency workers.

Fergus Maxwell, defending, said Knight had mental health issues and said although that didn't justify her actions, it put them into context.

After magistrates' deliberations Chris Mitchell, chairman of the magistrates bench, announced they had decided to adjourn the case for a pre-sentence report the defence had requested.

Knight was told to return to the court on March 13 for her sentence.

The chairman said: "You will be released on unconditional bail but will be expected to cooperate with the probation service to get a report written."

We previously reported Knight came to the Westlands estate in Droitwich to live with her dad after problems with drugs in the US.

In August 2021 she rugby-tackled a nurse at Worcestershire Royal Hospital before hitting an officer in the face with her 'urine-soaked trousers' in her cell.
