A MALVERN restaurant has been awarded a one star hygiene rating.
Spice Cottage Restaurant and Takeaway, on Fir Tree Walk, Worcester Road, was given the rating on November 7 2022.
In the report, the Malvern restaurant was rated generally satisfactory for both hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building.
But major improvement was necessary for the management of food safety such as systems or checks being in place to ensure food sold or served was safe to eat.

Shahin Ahmed, owner of Spice Cottage Restaurant and Takeaway, said the business has already addressed the areas for improvement and is awaiting a re-inspection date.
He said: "We have already submitted an application for a re-visit to the restaurant.
"Nobody has visited as of yet but we have worked on the areas of improvement and just need the visit now to improve the rating."
According to the Spice Cottage website, the restaurant's menu is "modernised classic Indian cuisine" that is "taken to its next level but keeping with authentic flavours".
