FOUR teenagers including one aged 15 were arrested after two mobile phone shops were targeted by thieves.
A 15-year-old, two 16-year-olds and an 18-year-old man were arrested at the scene after officers were called to a theft at the O2 shop and at Vodafone at 3.30pm on Tuesday (February 7).
The 15-year-old and an 18-year-old man have been released on bail, while the two 16-year-olds remain in police custody.
A West Mercia Spokesperson said enquiries are currently ongoing.
Dozens of police officers and police vehicles were parked near the city centre with eyewitnesses saying they saw the officers searching near Worcester Cathedral.
One passerby said he saw officers looking around College Green, College Yard and Kings Street before officers returned to Cathedral Square with one man in handcuffs.
Another man was seen in handcuffs nearby and the two were taken to nearby police cars.
Shortly before the officers were spotted, another witness said they saw five police cars driving at speed with blue lights flashing on Croft Road.
