AN air ambulance was spotted flying low over Worcester after taking off from a suspected incident in the city.

The air ambulance could be seen flying low over Newtown Road before landing at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Charles Hastings Way at around 5pm today.

The incident is believed to have happened between Newtown Road and Tolladine Road although precise details of what occurred, and where, have yet to be confirmed by the West Midlands Ambulance Service.

A witness said: "I could see the helicopter flying fairly low over the rooftops before it flew in the direction of the hospital. I hope nobody is seriously hurt."
