TWO sets of Liverpool FC supporter groups will come together in a one-off match at Sixways in March to raise money for a local charity and football side Worcester Raiders.
The offcial supporter groups from both Worcestershire (Worcestershire Reds Supporters Group) and Bristol are to play in a 11 vs 11 contest on Saturday, March 25 ahead of Raiders' Hellenic League Premier clash with Westfields at 3PM.
The game will kick-off at 11AM on the day between the two groups, with all money raised being split between the Millie Hope Trust and Worcester Raiders.
The Millie Hope Trust was set-up in memory of Millie Hope Chandler, who died after just 32 days due to a Congenital Heart Defect.
Millie had life saving open heart surgery at 12 days old, but sadly suffered complications from infection and the family ultimately had to make the decision to turn of her life support.
The family set up The Millie Hope Trust to fundraise for two charities.
Tiny Tickers helped us deal with Millie's heart condition and still provide us with amazing support and The Rose & Daisy Foundation are a local Baby Loss Bereavement Support Charity who support us this side of losing Millie.
The Trust have done numerous charity events to raise funds and have a strong connection with the Worcestershire Reds Supporters Group, who will now be doing their bit to raise money.
Nathan Martin, who runs the Worcestershire Reds Supporters Group, said: "This is a charity and a family very close to my and the rest of the group's heart.
"We have and will always continue to support The Millie Hope Trust in whatever way we can.
"This game will hopefully be a fun day out for lots of our friends and families connected to the group and our friends in Bristol, but also raise money for a very important cause."
Information about tickets will be released in due course, closer to the date of the game.
