STRANDED fish have been rescued from flooded Worcester racecourse as the waters recede.
Environment Agency officials rescued 31 stranded fish from Worcester Racecourse yesterday (Thursday) including pike, carp and perch.
With the recession in river levels @EnvAgencyMids #FisheriesOfficers have been doing the rounds to check flood areas for stranded fish.

Chris Bainger, Environment Agency Fisheries Technical Specialist for Shropshire Herefordshire Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, shared photos of the Pitchcroft rescue operation on Twitter
He said: "With the recession in river levels the Environment Agency Midlands and Fisheries officers have been doing the rounds to check flood areas for stranded fish.
"Today in Worcester on the racecourse they rescued 31 pike, carp, perch plus many small dace, chub and bleak which were returned safely to the river."
