A WORCESTER school has been nominated for a top award at the Worcestershire Education Awards.
North Worcester Primary Academy, on John Comyn Drive, has been nominated for the Primary School of the year award.
Natasha Ratcliffe, nominator and parent of pupils at the school, said: "My daughters wanted to nominate the school as they love going.
"North Worcester Primary Academy is a new school with a vision to teach children to love learning and they definitely do.
"The staff are so enthusiastic which is clear from the videos they post on Facebook. Children are also extremely happy and excited about going to school.
"For a school only starting its fourth year of running it’s already developing a fantastic reputation."

Emily Calvert, the headteacher of North Worcester Primary School, said she has "never known a more passionate group of people" working to make "a serious change to the lives of children" at the school.
Mrs Calvert said: "We are absolutely thrilled with this nomination for our school, we have assembled the most incredible team of staff that work together to bring the very best for all our children.
"As a new school, and with Covid, we have had a challenging start, but it feels that we are now going from strength to strength due to the support of our parents, the dedication of our staff and of course our wonderful children.
"I have never known a more passionate group of people pulling in the same direction to make a serious change to the lives of children.
"We are all very honoured to receive this nomination."
