THE emergency services attended a "medical emergency" near McDonald's in Worcester city centre. 

An eyewitness saw five police cars and an ambulance attend a patient, a man, who was lying in the street in Angel Place, Worcester by the fast food restaurant. 

The incident took place at 2.18pm and emergency services were still in attendance at 3pm.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a medical emergency at McDonald's, The Foregate, Worcester at 2.18pm.

"One ambulance attended and one man received treatment for his condition on scene before being conveyed to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further care."
