SEVEN children in a classroom have experienced abuse before they turn 18 according to a child protection charity.
Volunteers from NSPCC visit schools across Worcestershire to run programmes called Speak out and Stay Safe to teach pupils how to recognise signs of abuse.
However, the charity is struggling to provide face-to-face workshops in all areas due to a shortage of volunteers.
Kelly Yardley, who is the NSPCC schools coordinator for the region, said: "We need new volunteers in Worcestershire to help us protect the next generation of children from abuse and neglect".
