A DRIVER who was caught speeding on the M5 motorway in Worcester has been given a lengthy ban.
Luke Morris' case was heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on Friday, (January 13).
The 45-year-old had been expected to attend the hearing but did not attend.
Magistrates agreed to proceed with his case.
The court clerk explained Morris was caught travelling in a Citreon at 76mph in a 50mph zone of the M5 in Worcester, just before 11pm on March 9 last year.
After picking up points on his licence including for speeding and careless driving in 2021, Morris had originally asked to attend as he was at risk of becoming a 'totter' going above 12 points.
