Chris Bainger, Environment Agency Fisheries technical specialist, said: "I am here in Worcester where the current level is 4.84m on the gauge.
"A peak level of around 4.9m occurred yesterday (Sunday).
"However, river levels are high and will remain high for some time with a slow recession with the amount of water in the system.

Twenty-four flood warnings remained in place on the River Severn including at Pitchcroft, Kempsey, Upton-on-Severn and at Bevere.
The Environment Agency is using an automated system due to strike action affecting the body.

Pitchcroft car park remains closed.
Sabrina Bridge was also open but people were asked to take care as there was still water on Grandstand Road.
