A 22-YEAR-OLD man was refused entry into a Worcester court after being spotted by security staff drinking outside the building.
Callum Brebner, of Pardoe Drive, Pershore, was scheduled to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court at 2pm on Thursday afternoon (January 12).
Brebner faces a charge of failing to comply with a community protection notice on December 12 last year.
The charge reads that Brebner: "Failed to comply in that you must not behave in any way that causes or is likely to cause, any type of disturbance to the residents of Pardoe Drive or allow others in your address to do the same."
But during the lunch break security staff reported to the court clerk that Brebner had been seen drinking outside the court, and they considered he was drunk enough that they were refusing entry.

After the court clerk passed this information to magistrates, Owen Beale, prosecuting, explained he was keen for Brebner to hear the case as there is also an application from the prosecution for a criminal behaviour order.

Chairman of the magistrates bench, Judith Hulland, said magistrates had agreed to an adjournment of the case.
Brebner's case was set for February 10, also at Worcester Magistrates Court.
