A flood alert has been issued for the River Severn in Worcestershire after rainfall.
River levels have been forecasted to rise at Worcester (Barbourne) river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall.
The Environment Agency has urged people to avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and to plan their driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
Flooding is also expected to affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the river from Highley to Tewkesbury.
