NEW Census data has revealed the sexual orientation and gender identity of some of the people living in Worcestershire for the first time.
The 2021 Census was carried out in March 2021 and people over 24 million households across England and Wales.
The latest figures released focus on sexual orientation and gender identity - the first time this information has been included in the census data.
The Census asked people to identify their gender, the options were:
1. Identify with the sex they were born with
2. Transwoman
3. Transman
4. Non-binary
5. Other (people who don't identify as men, women, trans or non-binary)
6. N/A

Worcester
The Census 2021 asked Worcester residents, who are 16 and over, what their gender identity is.
In Worcester, 80,197 people identify with the same gender as their sex registered at birth, which makes up 93.68 per cent of the population.
156 people over the age of 16 in Worcester identify as a different gender than their birth sex, which makes up 0.18 per cent of the population.
71 people identify as transwomen, which is 0.08 per cent and 68 people identify as transmen which is also 0.08 per cent.
While 76 people identify as non-binary, which is 0.09 per cent and 41 people identify as other (0.04 per cent).
And 4,998 chose not to disclose their gender identity which makes up 5.84% of the population.

Malvern Hills
The Census 2021 asked residents in the Malvern Hills the same questions.
In Malvern Hills, there 77,142 people identify with the same gender as their sex registered at birth, which is 95.12 per cent of the population.
And 63 people do not identify with the sex they were registered with at birth, which is 0.08 per cent.

41 people identify as transwomen (0.05 per cent) and 40 (0.05 per cent) people identify as transmen in Malvern Hills.
31 people identify as non-binary (0.04 per cent) and 13 people identify as other (0.02 per cent).
Whereas 3,773 people chose not to answer the question (4.65 per cent).
Wychavon
The Census 2021 asked residents in Wychavon the same questions.
105,044 people over the age of 16 said they identify with the same gender as their sex registered at birth, which is 94.88 per cent.
153 people identify with a different gender than their registered sex at birth, which is 0.14 per cent.
51 people identify as transwomen and 51 people identify as transmen which is 0.05 per cent.
30 people identify as non-binary (0.03 per cent) and 26 people identify as other (0.02 per cent).
5,361 people chose not to answer the question, which is 4.84 per cent of the population.
