A sewage plant is set to go up for auction.

Severn Trent is selling two of its disused properties later this month, via auctioneer BidX1.

A covered reservoir in Inkberrow and a sewage plant in Pebworth will go under the hammer on Thursday, January 26.

A spokesperson for the company confirmed that neither site has been used for several years.

"From time to time, sites will become surplus to our operational requirements and the former sites in Inkberrow and Pebworth have been placed on the open market for sale by auctioneers BidX1,” they said.

“Both properties currently for sale have been non-operational for a number of years.”

The land of the former sewage treatment works, on Broad Marston Road south of Pebworth, has a guide price of £15,000.

It is described as a “secluded location” at the edge of the village and is 0.41 acres in size.

The listing states that the land is located at the rear of a “well-fenced large open compound” behind a pair of wire vehicle gates and is generally surrounded by trees.

It also states that the front compound, which has some above-surface infrastructure, is operational and not included in the sale.

Meanwhile the distribution service reservoir on Sands Road, in Inkberrow, has a guide price of £30,000.

The 0.25-acre site is described as being in a “rural location” with “extensive views over open countryside to the hills beyond”.

According to the listing, the property for sale includes a disused covered reservoir lying within a securely fenced compound

It adds: “We understand that utility services including water and electricity are located on the site, and telecoms are located in the public highway.”
