POLICE forces across the country have launched a new crackdown on speeding motorists in the new year.
Mobile speed camera vans will park up and patrol roads across Worcestershire throughout January.
Cameras use accurate laser technology to detect drivers who are speeding, while also being able to identify other offences, including drivers not in proper control or not wearing a seat belt.

Many police forces have revealed where the mobile cameras will be located, however, West Mercia Police has not disclosed this information.
The force said the location of the speed cameras can be changed at any given time.
A spokesperson from West Mercia Police said: "We do not publish where our mobile cameras will be each week, all our sites are signed up and we can be there at any time.

"It’s down to motorists to ensure that they are travelling within the speed limit.
"Operational activity can change at short notice depending on a number of factors."
However, the Worcester News has put together a list of fixed-speed cameras located across South Worcestershire and further afield.
