A YOUNG woman, who was left stranded on a busy road after her car broke down, said she will 'never forget the moment' two kind strangers went out of their way to help her.
Megan Doukas, aged 19, said her heart dropped after she realised her car had broken down on Bromyard Road, in St John's, at a busy set of traffic lights on December 30.
She then heard a loud snap when her clutch gave way under her foot.
Miss Doukas said: "As I put my foot down to change to first gear, the clutch just made a loud snapping noise and completely gave way under my foot where it then dangled, unusable.

"I was scared, and froze for a few seconds not knowing what was happening."
But Miss Doukas, who is a student at the University of Worcester, said she managed to roll the car to a safe place on the left side of the road.
And about five minutes later, a couple stopped their own journey just to ask Miss Doukas if she was okay.

She said: "I was only there for about five minutes until the lovely drivers helped me as I was trying to phone for help.
"Altogether we were there for 30 minutes trying to phone for extra help from my family members.

"The couple had turned round in their car and stopped their journey just to help me.
"They wouldn't leave my side until the problem was sorted and my car was taken to a garage.
"It was freezing too."
Miss Doukas has dubbed the strangers her 'guardian angels' and would like to thank them properly for the support they gave her, but said she was too overwhelmed at the time to swap details. She thinks they were from Kidderminster.
She said: "The lovely gentleman even drove my car to the garage somehow with a dangling clutch pedal, with the help of my uncle leading the way in front.
"I was so overwhelmed I wasn't able to grab the details of these lovely individuals and show my appreciation.

"I've kept saying to everyone they were my guardian angels sent for me as they appeared a very short time after I was stranded not knowing what to do.
"I'm never ever going to forget that moment."
