TWO women behind a successful venture bringing children's favourite characters to their parties and events are celebrating a new venture.
Doorstep Princess owners Nicole Powell, 23, and Amber Cox, 26, have opened a new venue they are calling Doorstep Kingdom.
The pair are entertainers that dress up as princesses and characters and can be hired for children's parties across Worcestershire.
The business originally started two years ago during lockdown because they wanted to give children a reason to smile amid the upheaval of the covid pandemic.
For their next step, the pair are opening Doorstep Kingdom in Blackpole to hold parties.

Co-owner Miss Powell said: "It is a dream that we have wanted for a while as two young women.
"We do lots of birthday parties and we will continue to go to parties."

The team is hoping to host three parties a day over the weekends at the new 'kingdom'.
"The new venue has cost a lot of money, we can't really reveal how much because there is still a lot to be done.
"But the new venue is really magical, we hope the new year brings us a really stable and successful business.

"We know times are hard at the moment, so we will have lots of offers when we open.
"We want it to be affordable and as magical as possible."
The new venue is set to open in February this year, but the date has not yet been set.
"We want it to be as perfect for the big opening" Miss Powell added.
"We are two young women, who have never run a business before, we don't have business degrees, we're defying the odds.
"At first, having our own business seemed so out of reach but no matter the obstacle we won't give up.
"It was tough setting it up, we don't come from really rich families and you don't realise how much comes with it.
"We do everything in-house, all the advertising, finance and marketing, and everything else.
"This is our full-time job and we are making our dreams come true every day."
Miss Powell added: "It is amazing, we started two years ago with no investments, we bought all the costumes off our own back."
