A MAN has been charged after an eyewitness saw someone stealing items from a car on an estate.
The man was arrested in connection with a theft from a car in Blanquettes Avenue in the early hours of Saturday morning (December 31).
A person spotted someone breaking into cars to steal iteams and called 999.
Within ten minutes, the police arrested a man on the estate.
Officers found alleged stolen property on the suspected thief while making the arrest.
Issuing an update, T/PS Rowan Boyle said: "Happy to say that the male was charged and remanded for this and one other theft."
A man was spotted stealing from cars in Blanquettes Avenue, near Perdiswell, at just after 2.30am.
T/PS Boyle said: "02:34 - Reports of male stealing from a car on Blanquettes Avenue, Worcester.
"My team had him detained within 10 minutes on the estate, located with stolen property on him leading to his arrest.
"Another prolific offender off the streets and will be interviewed in the morning."
