A DISTRICT judge refused a man entry into the court building to answer a number of charges after security staff were forced to call police. 

Justin Wynn had been set to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, (December 22) potentially entering pleas to a number of charges he faces.

The 43-year-old is accused of breaching his criminal behaviour order; using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke violence; assault by beating; obstruct/resist a constable in execution of duty; arrest by constable for breaking/likely to break bail conditions - duty to surrender into the custody of a court. 

Wynn is also accused of two thefts from a shop. Those offences are said by the prosecution to have taken place at Home Bargains and TX Maxx.

All the offences are alleged to have taken place between December 5 and December 20.

When Wynn's case was called on District Judge Steven Jonas was told security were not letting him in the building.

The judge said if he was just intoxicated he was happy for Wynn to come into court for the case to proceed but added: "If he is misbehaving we won't have him in the building."

After instructing Ian Parsons, the solicitor defending Wynn, to see if it was possible he returned just a few minutes later with the case was called back on.

The judge told Mr Parsons he had learned security had asked for police to attend as they feared for their safety.

The judge said, in the circumstances, he would have to issue a warrant for Wynn's arrest.
