A WORCESTER man has been fined for not buying a £6.30 rail ticket.
Nathan Collins, of Geraldine Road, Malvern, was at Worcester Foregate Street Station intending to travel to Great Malvern on June 9 this year.
But magistrates heard, when challenged by an inspector, he could not produce a ticket.
He was written to by Great Western Railway (GWR) who prosecuted the 26-year-old after hearing no response.
Collins was fined £440 and ordered to pay costs of £180 and a victim surcharge of £44.
Collins was also ordered to pay £6.30 - the cost of the ticket.
In total Collins owed £670.30 to the courts.
The case was heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on Friday, (December 16).
