A PROLIFIC fare dodger has been fined for his latest offence.
Damien Glaysek, of Windermere Drive, Worcester, was stopped at Worcester Shrub Hill having travelled on a Great Western Railway service on July 29 this year, without paying for a £10.70 ticket.
The 41-year-old was not able to produce a ticket when challenged by an inspector, and had not responded when written to by GWR.
After magistrates found the case proven in his absence Ms Erskin, prosecuting on behalf of GWR, revealed it was Glaysek's fifth similar offence having travelled without a ticket twice in 2021, and three times earlier this year.
Due to previous offending, Glaysek received a higher fine of £660.
He was told to pay £10.70 compensation, victim surcharge of £264 and costs of £180 - a total of 1,114.70.
The case was heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on Friday, (December 16).
