As Christmas approaches, families are looking for festive activities to do together.
And it doesn’t get much more festive than seeing the very animals that pull Santa’s sleigh.
We’ve rounded up the best places to get outside, feel Christmassy and - most importantly - see an actual, real-life reindeer.
The Cob House
The Cob House Countryside Park is situated just a few miles outside of Worcester, off Martley Road.
Entry to the park grounds is free, so it won’t cost you a thing to meet the park’s resident reindeer, alpacas, goats, pigs and chickens.
Two of the reindeer at The Cob House - Dasher and Rudy - were even born right here in Worcestershire.
There’s a children’s play area and The Mayfly Cafe, which serves breakfast from 8am on weekdays and 7.30am on weekends, and currently has a special festive afternoon tea menu.
Caribou and The Reindeer Cafe
Caribou boasts a Christmas shop, adventure play area, a herd of reindeer and The Reindeer Cafe.
Situated a couple of miles outside of Pershore, Caribou is open for only a few more days before Christmas. The shop will only be open for a half day on Thursday, December 23.
The Reindeer Cafe is also seasonal and is only open until the 23rd, but will be serving hot and cold food including cakes until then.
Also on the same site, you can buy a Christmas tree from Smart Trees and even take on the 12 Days of Christmas trail.
Cotswold Reindeer Herd
Based in Ampney Circus, near Cirencester, the Cotswold Reindeer Herd is hosting its Christmas event until December 31.
There’s even a VIP day on Christmas Eve, when families can visit for an additional fee and will receive extra gifts on the day.
The reindeer herd can be visited all year round and personal guided tours are available between January 3 and October 15 each year.
