Motorists have been warned to expect delays as works get underway to repair a water leak.
A footpath in Sidbury was frozen solid this week after water poured out of a leak.
Severn Trent workmen are now tackling the problem, however, the council has warned that this may affect people travelling through the area.
Worcestershire County Council's highways and travel team has confirmed that one lane is closed heading towards the Cathedral.
As such, there are expected to be delays on London Road and Bath Road.
The footpath next to King Street car park is also closed.
The works will also impact First Worcester bus services, with the 32, 45, X50 and 44 all affected.
A First Worcester spokesperson said: "Due to a left lane closure in Sidbury after a water leak in the pavement, we expect delays to services today."
