THE Claines Lane pitch has failed a pitch inspection, meaning the Worcester City vs Shifnal Town (Saturday 2PM) clash has been postponed.
The referee and his officials took the decision at around 10.30AM after a 15 minute inspection.
Temperatures in the last week have plumetted and the forecast for the weekend included a number of yellow weather warnings from the Met Office.

It is not expected to move much above 1 degree on Saturday and as such, the pitch was never going to thaw out in time.
The 120th anniversary celebrations will still go ahead as planned.
