A BAR will become a desert oasis and 'mini beach' ahead of England's next World Cup game thanks to a delivery of two tonnes of sand.
By this Friday, the Courtyard in Worcester will become a beach as bar managers, quite literally, bring 'a little bit of the Qatari sand to Worcester'.
Football fans who could not make it to Qatar for the big games can still imagine they are there by walking around in the sand, standing under inflatable palm trees and drinking cocktails out of coconuts while watching the crunch games on one of a number of big screens.

The idea started as part of BoozD Up Bingo nights every Friday with a Beach Party due to take place on Friday (December 9).
Lloyd Cox, owner of the Courtyard in St Nicholas Street, said the beach would still be there for people to enjoy for the England Vs France game on Saturday.
He said: "Whilst discussing the disposal of the sand for the BoozD Up Bingo Beach Party, one of our staff members brought up the idea of keeping the beach for the England Quarter Final with France with the tagline being 'Bringing a touch of the Qatari sand to Worcester' - which was obviously a great idea.
"We already have around 70 seats booked and we offer free entry and standing.
"Our capacity is approximately 400, although for safety and comfort we will be limiting this to 200 people maximum.
"Customers will be able to stand on the sand to watch the game if they want to.
"We are bringing in the equivalent of two tonnes of sand to fill our courtyard area, to create a mini beach.
"This does not pose a detriment to our fire safety requirements as all exits are completely clear."
The beach party is one of a number of themed events on Fridays, including 90s-themed BinGLO (December 16), a Christmas-themed event (December 23), Grease (December 30), Greatest Showman (December 31).
At every Friday event, there is a drag queen host and a minimum of £500 in prize money.
Tickets for the bingo are £20 and guests get a game ticket for every game (five in total) included.
It also has a £50 best-dressed fancy dress prize, and everyone in fancy dress will receive a free drink on arrival.
Tickets can be obtained via Facebook - www.facebook.com/TheCYworcester or from Eventbrite.
