A WOMAN was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. 

Paramedics treated three patients who had been involved in a two-car crash opposite the March Hare in Broughton Hackett at 4.53pm on Sunday (December 4). 

Four ambulances, a paramedic officer, and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car were sent to the scene. 

The crash happened at the junction of Alcester Road and Kitts Lane.

As well as the woman, who was driving the car, there was a male passenger who was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for minor injuries. 

And a third patient in a different car was checked by paramedics and discharged at the scene.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance services said: "We were called to reports of a two-car RTC at the junction of Alcester Road and Kitts Lane at 4.53pm.

"Four ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car were sent to the scene.

"On arrival we discovered three patients.

"A woman, who was the driver of one of the cars, was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.

"A man, who was a front seat passenger, was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

"The third patient was assessed and discharged at the scene."
