The following cases were heard at Worcester Magistrates Court recently.

Animal sanctuary boss, Graham Stephens, appeared at the court and admitted keeping owls, dogs, rabbits and donkeys in unsuitable conditions. 

The 62-year-old, of Broad Street, Bromyard and who previously lived at the Tenbury Wells sanctuary, was warned he now faces jail for his crimes. 

The mistreatment to the animals included failing to provide dental treatment, failing to address heavy lice infestation, failing to provide veterinary treatment for the eye condition and dental disease and failure to provide drinking water.

A MAN caught speeding twice in a Mercedes was fined and given penalty points by magistrates. 

Magistrates heard Mohammed Haque, of Bilford Avenue, Worcester, had committed the offences on the A44 New Road and the B4550 in Rainbow Hill, in 2020.

Serial offender, Connor Loach, said 'thanks for the bike' as he stole it in front of the victim.

Loach, of no fixed abode but previously of Vawdrey Close, Stourport and Park Street, Worcester, appeared on videolink to admit his latest offence of stealing a bike. 

The court heard he had jumped on the bike in front of the victim, before saying the comment and riding off.

The 26-year-old was handed a Criminal Behaviour Order and fined.

Luke Harborne cut tags off items in ASDA to steal them because he couldn't be bothered to wait in a long queue.

The 27-year-old, of Astwood Road, Worcester, admitted stealing when he appeared at the court.

Harborne committed the crime while on a community order, aggravating the offence. 

And magistrates heard Harborne already had 144 theft offences on his record.

Drunk woman Nicole Merchant kicked the shins of a police officer after calling 999.

Alinah Iqbal, prosecuting, said police were called to the defendant's home in Bath Road, Worcester, to a report of a domestic incident on October 29. 

Miss Iqbal said the 20-year-old had not moved out of the way when asked to do so, before Merchant assaulted PC Ben Sly kicking him in the shins.

Merchant was ordered to do 140 hours of unpaid work.
