A paedophile from Worcester will spend more than half a decade behind bars.

Adam Newell, of Dorothy Crescent, will serve seven and a half years after engaging in sexual activity with a child.

The 51-year-old was sentenced for three charges when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Friday, November 19.

For causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, Newell was handed a seven-and-a-half-year sentence.

He was also given a one-year concurrent sentence for the sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.

The judge also sentenced Newell to a three-year concurrent sentence for engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
