ARMED police were hunting a knifeman seen roaming around near the city centre with a weapon.
Armed police officers and a dog handler were seen in the Lowesmoor Wharf area, and near St Martin's Gate at about 9.40pm on Sunday (November 20).
West Mercia Police said a man had been spotted with a knife in the area.
However, no arrests have been made.
Chief Inspector Fergus Green said the police will not stand by and allow people to carry knives.

He said: “Our officers attended the scene within minutes and performed a comprehensive search of the area. Nothing was found in the search and to date, no arrests have been made.
“Our investigations are ongoing and we are determined to identify who was involved and remove any weapons from the streets.
"We simply will not stand by and allow people to carry knives and threaten the safety of themselves and others.”
